Welcome to Raatuse 22 Student Hostel!
Raatuse 22 Student Hostel offers housing for exchange students coming to study at the University of Tartu for one or two semesters. In total, around 126 rooms are allocated to exchange students.
If there are vacancies left, we can also accommodate exchange students from other higher education institutions in Tartu, as well as other guests who are not enrolled in degree studies at the University of Tartu or any other higher education institution in Tartu.
On these pages you will find all the necessary information about prices, how to apply for accommodation, housing offers, arrival and check-in, moving out.

Important Information
- The application period for exchange students is announced on the website 2-3 months before the queue opens.
- Spring semester 2026 applications open on the 2nd of January 2026. Applications submitted before this date will not be considered.
- Housing offers will be sent out gradually after the application period begins. The process takes several weeks, so not all applicants will receive their offer at the same time.
- Offers are sent only during Student Village Office working hours (not on weekends). Please be patient while waiting for your offer.
Who Can Apply?
Exchange/visiting students studying at the University of Tartu for up to 10 months.
Exchange/visiting students from other universities may also apply, but accommodation will be offered only if vacancies remain after University of Tartu students have been accommodated.
